Today there is quite a high premium on original vintage pieces simply because they’re extremely rare and becoming increasingly harder to find. Decades ago, when people bought luxury watches like Rolex for example, it was perfectly normal for them to get the watch serviced, polished, or have parts replaced if you scratched or dented them up. The problem is that while they were done by the company with authentic later-era parts, they still weren’t original parts or features of the watch. Since this was such a common practice, today it’s really special – and highly valuable – if a vintage watch is totally original. When posed with the question of which watch to buy and when, every industry “expert” probably begins their answer with some variation of the same caveat: Buy for love, not for money. Watch collecting is a wild and unpredictable hobby. Auction prices for classic models have been known to hit eight figures (and then some), but most of the Rolex watches out there depreciate the moment you strap them on your wrist.I have a young friend who is ready to buy his first luxury watch. He’s been thinking about it for weeks (good boy), but every few days he calls me (bad boy) and labors the same point: He wants a watch that is an investment (even worse boy). There exists in modern watch collecting a problem: collectibility is now treated as a selling point. But the problem with everybody and their dogs knowing that something is collectible is that everybody and their dogs are quite likely to collect it.The most expensive wristwatch ever sold was the Rolex Daytona worn by Paul Newman himself. It fetched $17. million at a 2017 auction. That’s a pretty good price for a watch that was so unpopular when it was initially launched that it lingered on dealers’ shelves with relatively few actually making their way onto customers’ wrists. One of those wrists happened to be Paul Newman, who had reputedly been bought the watch by his wife, Joanne Woodward. And it isn’t that she made a sound investment, but rather her purchase created an investment piece by her gifting it to her stratospherically famous husband.

The replica is a real chronograph watch because its basic movement is a valjoux 7750 chronograph movement. The factory modified its movement plates and auto rotor to make it look closer to genuine IWC 79350 Caliber, and they did it. When you open the case back, you can not even tell the movement difference between the replica and genuine. So you can relax and do not worry to be spotted when wearing it among your friends.Black leather strap, plus black hand stitching, perfectly match the leisure style of the replica watch. The band is made of genuine alligator leather, it will be very durable. The leather band is fitted a deployant clasp, which is brushed and features “IWC” engraving. This IWC Portuguese is very necessary for men who need a watch to fit their business suits.

In the world of luxury product acquisition, there are few things more distressing to the mind of a passionate collector than the thought of harm coming to their valued possessions. Yes, nothing in this realm can hold a candle to health or the well-being of one’s loved ones, but these small treasures, often rare or unique (and certainly expensive) hold a special place in the heart of one who has dedicated their time and effort to make them theirs.I am often asked if it is important to insure a collection of used luxury watches. In fact, I am asked it more often then makes conscionable sense to me, because the answer is simple: Yes, yes you should. And more to the point, if you own a luxury watch like a Rolex Submariner (let alone if you own numerous luxury watches) and you’re asking that question, you should save your breath for the insurance provider on the other end of the phone. And that’s really the best place to start. In this digital age, it seems we’ve all become a bit interaction-shy, but with a complex and potentially serious situation like making an insurance claim, it is always best to have set-up your policy having talked directly to another human being – an expert in their field. You really should leave nothing to chance. Don’t be afraid to ask stupid questions – insurance is complicated and rules and regulations vary from country to country (massively) and occasionally, even from region to region. If you move to a new area, don’t just assume that your previous policy will port seamlessly. Check it out. Trust me: It’s worth it.Having lived most of my life in the UK and Germany, I have intimate personal experience with moving a watch collection across borders. And the differences are stark. Some things are easier in some territories, and some things are harder, but the three things you should focus on first when looking into insuring your collection (or single watch) is the total value of your collection, how many “declarable” models you will need to put on your policy, and how all of this can affect your remaining contents insurance. So let’s start with the first point. This is relatively simple. Add up the retail value of the watches in your collection. When doing this, make sure you collate invoices and receipts (if possible) into a physical and digital folder. Scan everything, stick it in a PDF and email a copy to yourself rather than keeping it on your hard-drive alone (it stands to reason that if your property gets turned over your laptop may go the same way as your watches).

However, the dials of the gold Sub were not the standard black dials of their stainless steel counterparts.A few years later, around 1971, Rolex offered another colorway of the yellow gold Submariner featuring a bright blue bezel and dial. The yellow gold Submariners in blue also has the same “nipple dial” design. Particularly intriguing with the blue gold Submariner 1680/8 models is how the dials have transformed into different colors over time including lighter blues, vibrant purples, and rich reddish brown (also known as “tropical dials” in vintage Rolex terminology). Comparing the Rolex Submariner to the GMT-Master II.Two watches, perhaps the two most well-known in Rolex’s sports watch lineup, have amazing similarities, and one can be forgiven for confusing them at a distance. These two watches are, of course, the Submariner dive watch (ref. 116610) and the GMT-Master II (we’ll call it the GMT for short, but we’re talking about the current ref. 116710).The Submariner GMT Master Comparison .The individual histories of the Submariner and the GMT are well documented elsewhere, so let’s compare and contrast the two current models.First, the similarities. The Submariner and the GMT-Master II are luxury watches. Both watches are currently housed in the 40mm diameter so-called “super case” with a ceramic or Cerachrom bezel insert. This case, done in 904L stainless steel, debuted in 2007 with the GMT (the Submariner received the new case a year later). There are minute differences in the two cases, but you need to set them side by side and look very closely to see them. Both watches buckle to your wrist with the current Oyster bracelet.

If you want one with genuine Swiss ETA movement, please choose from BP factory. If you want a Submariner that looks 99% the same as genuine whether in outlook or inside movement, then buy Noob V8 Submariner with Super Clone 3135. If you are in pursuit of an extreme wearing feeling, then choose J12 version because this factory always does a perfect job in case and bracelet polishing. Today, I will introduce a vintage replica Rolex Submariner 16610LV published by J12, the watch is one of the best sellers in our market. The following article will show how charm the watch is.Replica Rolex Submariner 16610LV Vintage WatchThe case is 40mm in diameter and 13mm thick. Genuine watch has the same thickness. Whole case is brushed except sides, which are polished. The factory uses genuine watch as a sample to build a 1:1 case profile from one forged piece of metal. The bezel is uni-directional rotatable and features a green metal insert, which is not ceramic made. Case back has tooth design, the center is sandblast finished while the edge is polished. Check the pins that connect case and bracelet, they are flawless without damage, I always checked this place on watches I will send to my clients, because some watches from big factories have damaged pins. I carefully checked every place of the watch before posting.Replica Rolex Submariner Vintage 16610LVThe dial has nothing to review except different printings from modern Submariner. Yes, it is the “OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE”. Black dial and the green bezel form a sharp contrast, in my opinion, that’s the charm of vintage 16610LV Submariner, and it will be the one that firstly catches your attention when putting 16610LV and Hulk 116610LV together.Replica Rolex Submariner 16610LV CrownThe bracelet is made of solid 316L stainless steel, it is brushed. Please check the the buckle, it is a design that on vintage Rolex Submariner’s. When you unfold the clasp, you will find the engravings are symmetrical. Inside the case, it is an Asian clone 3135 movement, which is based on a Shanghai automatic movement.Replica Rolex Submariner 16610LV Case Overall, if there is a 10, I will give the watch a 9.5. If the factory has a genuine ETA movement option, the watch will be perfect ten.
